Research Opportunities
Undergraduate
UMSA:
Undergraduate Modeling, Simulation and Analysis
UMSA is a research activity for undergraduates sponsored by the National Science
Foundation and offered in conjunction with the Computational Science
Cluster. Students who participate will study with faculty from several
disciplines and work on interdisciplinary research problems. Participating students will
benefit by working closely with faculty from several departments in an exciting new
opportunity and can count towards graduation all credits earned through UMSA.
SciClone Cluster Project
The Computational
Science Cluster operates a large, heterogeneous cluster computing
system designed to support a variety of research, computational, and
instructional activities throughout the William and Mary
community. Additional information can be found on the SciClone web site along
with a form for requesting an account. Faculty and students with applications from any discipline are welcome, as
are those interested in developing tools or infrastructure to support
more effective use of cluster computing systems. Individuals from
outside the William and Mary community should first contact Robert
Voigt at rvoigt@compsci.wm.edu
before submitting an account request.
